Our Phenomenal French Lavender brings all the bees to the farm.
The first step into the world of lavender for our farm was with this hardy, heat tolerant variety of Lavandula Intermedia. Better known as Phenomenal on the streets (a.k.a.nurseries and garden centres). We suspect that Phenomenal lavender had to be named for just that reason – it’s truly a phenomenal variety to grow! Its fragrant scent will easily take over a summer breeze. It’s shimmery silver foliage and purple-blue spikes, make it a plant to marvel.
The showstopper for us? That’s easily how much of an attractant this particular variety of lavender is to our honeybee friends. They swarm it all day and night. The bees definitely seem to prefer it over the other varieties. With over 500+ Phenomenal plants growing on our farm, we are in honeybee heaven! We incorporated bees into the design of our beloved farm logo as a sign of affection for the little drones.
Its amazing fragrance make Lavender Phenomenal great for use in oils. The height of this cut flower allows you to create an extravagant display of fresh cut or dried bundles.
Phenomenal Lavender is a FRENCH ‘Lavandula Intermedia’ with elegant, sweetly fragrant mounds of silver foliage. Phenomenal lavender produces tall purple-blue flowering spikes. It has outstanding ornamental and culinary qualities. This cold-hardy lavender does not die back in the winter like other varieties. It’s notable for its disease resistance and heat and humidity tolerance. Evergreen over warmer winters. This is one of our favourite giant varieties we sell at MKL!

Dried lavender bundles are sold in wholesale quantity at a minimum of twenty bundles per order.
Phenomenal Lavender is a FRENCH ‘Lavandula Intermedia’ with elegant, sweetly fragrant mounds of silver foliage. Phenomenal lavender produces tall purple-blue flowering spikes with outstanding ornamental and culinary qualities. Dried it looks lighter than other varieties. We offer Phenomenal Lavender cut in two sizes:
14″ – the smaller sized Phenomenal bundles are cut to ship easily in a standard sized box. They’re not full height from the plant.
24″ – the larger sized Phenomenal bundles are full size at almost 2 feet in height. They’re shipped full size and require oversized postage in most cases.
French Classic- Phenomenal – Dried Lavender Buds
