Blue Spear Lavender was a great new addition to the MKL farm last summer. It was proven to generate heavy, continuous blooms and was a very good healthy grower throughout the season producing a never ending bright blue flower. We think this might be a new favourite!
Blue Spear Lavender is an ENGLISH ‘Lavandula Angustifolia’ and is a brand new cultivar hardy to Zone 6. Blue Spear blooms in the first year, so can be grown as an annual in cooler climates. It is the tallest and showiest of the first-year-blooming types, with decidedly blue tinted flower spikes over subdued grey-green foliage. Spires of fragrant flowers attract all manner of pollinators from late spring to the end of summer.
